Dragonfly Homeland Security

The Dragonfly UMR-1 is a more cost effective alternative to search areas than today's conventional manned aircraft.  It will be possible to employ more UAVs in a search than manned vehicles due to that reduced cost.  This in turn increases the size of the search area, which corresponds to a reduced search time. Time is the critical element in all search & rescue operations.

Law enforcement agencies can save lives and capture high speed pursuit evaders better when any available, trained officer can operate the craft to provide airborne guidance to ground officers or capture the speeder by themselves.

Getting necessary supplies and equipment to the site of a natural disaster is important. Unfortunately, because of the disaster itself, the infrastructure, road and bridges, may be damaged or destroyed...making disaster relief impossible.  Dragonfly UMR offers an aerial cargo/personnel platform and provides an alternate route of travel...which is rarely obstructed.
